First, I am grateful for the wish of Allah SWT because with His abundant grace and permission, we are given the opportunity to meet again in 2020.

On this occasion, the Manjung Municipal Council wishes a Happy New Year 2020 to customers and stakeholders including the State Government, government departments, private companies, non-governmental organizations, community leaders and communities of Manjung municipality. .

I am grateful that throughout 2019, the Manjung Municipal Council has achieved various successes such as having won the Public Sector Conditional Ecosystem (EKSA) Certification, Gold Award at the Northern Territory Mini Team Excellence (MTEX) Convention 2019, Gold Award at the Regional Team Excellence Convention North 2019 (RTEx), Gold Award for the Annual Productivity & Innovation Conference and Exposition (APIC) 2019, Building Category (Government / Private) Cheerleading Competition in conjunction with the 2019 Silver State Level National Celebration and the National Level Building Government Cheerleading Competition In conjunction with the 2019 National Month Celebration.

In addition, the Manjung Municipal Council was also involved in the implementation of 158 programs throughout 2019 including state and national programs such as Pangkor Island Festival, “The Kelah” Independence Swim Program across the Wall, World Peace Day Celebration Program - Longest Human Peace Chain and RC Fun Fly Program.

In this regard, I would like to express my sincere thankfulness to the Perak State Government, government and private agencies, non-governmental organizations, community leaders and the Manjung municipal community for their cooperation in contributing ideas and important inputs which further strengthened the Manjung Municipal Council's administrative system.

In line with the declaration of Pangkor as a Tax-free Island in 2020, the Manjung Municipal Council along with the State Government will continue to play a role in pursuing its agenda which includes strengthening infrastructure development in Manjung district, especially in Pangkor Island. In addition, MPM will pursue the goal of creating integrated and balanced development based on advances in economic, social and environmental conservation and will continue to be committed to providing the best service delivery system to the community and stakeholders

Finally, the hope of the Manjung Municipal Council in 2020 is that all the workplans will be successful, more competitive, achieve better performance and the Manjung municipality continues to live in harmony and prosperity.
